In brief, our experience has been beyond our expectations on so many levels.

Scout is a 14 month old Black Lab – smart,  friendly,  active.

We learned about Atlantic K9 on a weekday afternoon when I took Scout down to the Winchester Common to pick up our son after school.  I saw a woman with her off leash dog and started a conversation and learned her dog had just got back from a boot camp at Atlantic K9.

Up to that point,  Scout had some training –  she boarded and trained from 8 weeks to 14 weeks.   She was now at 6 months and was becoming challenging –  getting into things at at home,  tiring to walk (constant pulling).  Still a sweet dog,  but exhausting and sort of frustrating.

We dropped off Scout for a  four week boot camp on December 26th. And it we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Atlantic K9 with the entire staff,  especially Brayden.  We have since boarded Scout,  sent her to daycare and had monthly 1-1 training sessions .  

The training has enhanced our relationship with Scout and made it so much more fun!   Brayden always starts our training sessions asking how things are going and what we want to get out of Scouts training.  I really appreciate how he approaches training from what the client wants,  not a one size fits all approach.  Brayden has also developed a real bond with Scout.  She gets so excited when we drop her off for daycare and boarding!  

Brayden also makes the training fun for us and meets us where we are. 

It is so nice to have a dog that is still a dog –  goofy, loving,  gets into some trouble..  but that also understands the boundaries and rules.  And that we can hike and walk off leash!  And take into crowded areas and know she will respond to our directions.  

And the approach is gentle for both the dogs and the owners.  I was concerned about our ability to continue to train Scout at home.  This is where we have struggled in the past.  But AK9 makes the training easy to understand and is always available for questions.  It truly is a long term relationship. 

I unreservedly recommend Atlantic K9 and Brayden.  The entire team is friendly and responsive.  It’s such a welcoming environment.
