Vivi is a pandemic puppy, and really hadn’t been socialized to people beyond our family. She is sweet and loving with us, but when others came over she would get over excited and jump and nip. We had an (outdoor) get together and she jumped up and chipped a friend’s tooth. It got so bad that we couldn’t socialize at our house at all, and our kids’ friends were afraid to come over. As we came out of the pandemic, this was not going to work. We tried everything, but none of our usual dog training methods (we are experienced dog owners) worked.
From day one, right when we first contacted [Atlantic K9], they have been professional, knowledgeable and sympathetic. They listened, gave straightforward advice, and let us know exactly what they could accomplish and when. Truly couldn’t have been a better experience.
We have a friend who was a former client, and he raved about how well his dog (Tiger) did, how well he was treated and how much his behavior improved after his experience. We also very much liked your emphasis on training us, not just Vivi. The lesson prior allowed us to see who you were, your beautiful grounds, and have confidence that Vivi would enjoy her time there. We knew we would miss her, and we loved that you would post daily pictures. After looking at a couple other training services, we were convinced that yours would work, and be a good experience for us and for Vivi.
Vivi is a two year old pit bull/bull dog mix who is quirky and sweet, We were a little worried that she would lose her “quirkiness” after training, but she definitely did not. She just is able to kind of suppress it now when she needs to.
