I approached Kathleen at Atlantic K9 Training at the end of the winter to help us with a plan to be ready for changes in our walks come spring. Our Labrador had leash aggression that was important for us to correct so we may enjoy peaceful walks as a family and on our own.

We had 4 training sessions but after only the very first one things turned around drastically. Kathleen gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to work with our dog correctly and effectively. She is an exceptional trainer and it truly shows in her gentle approach.

I really appreciated the time she took to answer my questions and her patience with me, the handler, as I learned the techniques and what she was trying to get across to me. I personally liked being given a week or longer to really focus on the specific lesson we needed to accomplish in order to move to the next and her schedule was always accommodating. This pace was always just right for me and my dog.

As a result of our training my dog and I now have a stronger bond, work very well together and can read each other much more effectively and of course the issue we initially came to her with, the leash aggression, is well under control. We are going places together I know we never would have been able to without Kathleen’s expertise to get us there. We have since also used her boarding services and once again the care and peace of mind that Atlantic K9 offered us was exceptional! She inspires me to be a better dog owner and if anything comes up that I need assistance with for training our family pet I will absolutely go right back to Kathleen.
